According to wiki, Quadro 4000 is based on GTX 460 architect. Except 460 is using GF104, which suppose to be better than GF100. Stability is one of the key reasons that Quadros are "tune down", I'd think its driver is written for the default speed. 15 Watt. Posted April 5, 2021. It's meh really. Basically performs around a gtx 970 level of performance. So no where near enough for 4k. Really at best 1080p medium settings. You'd be better of just getting a regular gaming card especially with your plans. Since it's free anyways why not.
